Smeared and Smudged May Member Blog Hop

I was getting back on track, getting organised, was ahead with my work so I thought, hey, why not sign up for the Smeared and Smudged member blog hop, ATC swap and Fatpage swap for May... So I did. And I didn't write it in my to do list. Therefore, I've combined the whole lot into one post for the Blog Hop - my swappees don't know who they are so it will still be a surprise when they arrive! I hope!
The Blog hop theme is Anything Goes so my projects work, which is great! The theme for the Fatpage Swap is 'Horror' and at the moment I am watching Grimm - binge watching on Netflix is my favourite thing!! This image on the front of my Fatpage is from Smeared Ink and i've used Distress Inks and blending tool to colour her. I've gone with a watery background - the Sheena Douglas swirls reminding me of seaweed and the pebbles on the floor of the ocean are Inkylicious stamps. The sentiment is from HOTP. This iamge reminds me of the 'La Llarona' episode of Grimm where the woman with long flowing hair steals children and eventually drowns herself!
The reverse side of my page is 'Walking Dead' inspired!! The image is Smeared Ink with the Barbed wire stamp from Visible Image reminding me of the prison yard in the show! She's a bit cuter than TWD zombies, but hey ho. The sentiment is also VI and I've used a Webster's Pages DP for background. The embossing is a Tim Holtz folder with DI blended onto it.
The theme for the ATC swap was Halloween and I signed up for two. I've used 'Crafty Stamps' images and the sentiments and banner are from My Mind's Eye. Again the background is Distress Inks. I've finished with Diamond Black stickles on the web and spider body.

Here is the blog roll for the hop, please start back with Black Dragon or if you're following the roll, your next stop is Jane

Extra Inspiration for SLS Lines

I am loving the images over in the SLS Lines Etsy shop and I had to do something with this scary Skull!
I have printed him, covered the teeth with Glossy Accents to give those pearly whites a bright shine. The skull I've used some Tim Holtz Distress Inks on foam applicators to colour him. The 'firey' parts, I've used my Burnt Orange Promarker.
The DP is from my current favourite DCWV Eek-A-Boo Stack and the 'What do you fear?' sentiment is from Create with TLC.

New Challenge 'Book It' at The East Wind

Good morning! This is the first of three posts from me today - join me later for more! First up we have a brand new challenge starting at The East Wind and the theme this fortnight is 'Book It'. Now you can interpret this as you like, maybe a character from a book in your project or a book page altered project - as long as you include a hand coloured image.
I have used the 'Mary Poppins' image, an older one from The East Wind store and coloured her with promarkers. My background paper is Vellum which I tried experimenting with some acrylic paints and a faux gelli plate. I've then over stamped in Black Archival with the Visible Image 'Bronte Border' stamp. The card blank, flowers and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards.

New Stash Experimenting!

Hi! Happy Tuesday afternoon to you all. I was at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft show in Glasgow at the Weekend and it was fabulous!I spent waaaayyy too much! And... Lelli-bot Crafts had their very first stamp sets on the telly on Friday so I had to have them too. Here are some of the goodies I picked up!
So, as a result I have spent the last couple of days playing and getting messy! And here are the results!
Firstly a big hello to McOyster Paper Crafts at Poles Apart in Cupar for bringing a selection of fabulous stamps to the show - I bought the Grunge Flourish and Vision Inkognito Visible Image stamps and love them. The Stamp Hut also had some fabulous products including the white pigment ink pad, brayer and a bottle of Goosebumps - please check out Google/YouTube for fabulous ways to use this!!
I started with spraying a load of things with the Goosebumps and letting it dry. This first card I sprayed through the Dutch Doobadoo Stars Stencil, let it dry, then inked my card base - Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry. The card was edged with the Visible Image mini grunge flourish from Craft Stamper and then the dotty side of the stamp used on the die cut panel for the center of the card. The sentiment is also VI.
I also sprayed some Goosebumps on a sheet of paper from Lelli-bot's 6x6 Gothic Lace kit. When dry I inked it with Peacock Feathers and then heat embossed in black the corner stamp from the kit on two corners. I stamped and embossed in white onto black card with the floral skull and hand from their stamp set and used Labels One Spellbinders for die cutting. The Sentiment is from the Gothic Grunge Lelli-bot kit and I've added some gems to finish.
I then spent a few hours playing with some inks and tags and here are a couple of random stamped bits!
This one went through a Tim Holtz embossing folder too!
Well, thanks for looking!
Hope you have a crafty week!

Challenge #9 'Fantasy' at SLS Lines

Welcome to a brand new challenge at SLS Lines starting today. The theme for this month is 'Fantasy' and we'd love for you to play along. You don't have to use an SLS Lines image to join in but you could win some if you are chosen as our winner!
I have used the 'Zombie Lady Portrait' for my card, colouring her with Promarkers and adding Glossy Accents for her eyes. I've added black DI to the background as the white was very bright. My DP is from the DCWV Eek-a-Boo Stack and my sentiment was made on a label maker. I hvae added a graveyard border cut on the Cameo, some drippy goo MS punch along the top and a Tim Holtz Raven die.
I will enter this card in the following challenges -
