Lucy Loo 'Lucy Longstocking' Released at The East Wind

Oh Wow!!!! Kyra AKA Unky at The East Wind has done it again!!! Another absolutely Fantabulous Lucy Loo image is being released today! She is called 'Lucy Longstocking' and she is sassy and sexy!

I have gone with a very Halloweeny Colour palette but a sassy sentiment rather than all out Halloween!
I have coloured her with Promarkers, giving her shiny green hair! My papers are a mix of Echo Park and My Mind's Eye. The mount for Lucy is a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Square done in black pearlescent paper. I've finished with some card candi.
I will enter this card in the following challenges -
Tuesday Throwdown - #197 Wild Coloured Hair
Addicted to Stamps and More - Make Your Mark (Promarkers)

Skully Tag!!

Ok, so another quick post from me today, it's Thursday and there's only a few hours left to join in the Delicious Doodles challenge for this week - 'On the Dark Side' and I have had this tag sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks now... It was supposed to have been posted already for a tag swap... it will be in the mail first thing in the morning! Ooops!

So I have used a Kraft Tag from Craftwork Cards, embossed it with a skull and bones folder and tinted it with Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Inks. The 'Pile o Bones' image is from Delicious Doodles and I haven't added anything to it, just stuck it down and cut it to fit. The other image is a Zombie Pirate also from Delicious Doodles and I have highlighted his bandana and necktie with red Promakers. He's been mounted onto black pearlescent paper and attached with 3d foam to make him pop.... well, as much as a dead zombie pirate can pop! The tag is finished with red and black organza ribbons and black sticky pearls.
I will enter this tag in the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles - On the Dark Side
Haunted Design House - Ripped to Ribbons
Crafty Catz - Embossing

Steampunk Peg!

I have another quick card for you today. I got this fabulous Rick St Dennis image from his Randi Dandi line at I Brake For Stamps as a prize during the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop last year and love her! I've used her a few times and thought that she would be perfect for the current Progressive Challenge over at Sparkle and Glitter The RSD EDT Blog.

I have kept the card simple, the challenge is almost over and I didn't want to miss it! (This has been on my to do list all month!) I coloured her with Promarkers and inked the edges with Black Soot. I have used Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells papers (8x8 and 6x6) and layered them up with black pearlescent paper. The Cogs are from a Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Die and the senitiment is Craftwork Cards (layered on a cog!).
I will enter this card in the following challenges:
Sparkle and Glitter With Rick - Steampunk
The Corrosive Challenge - #200 Celebration Anything Goes
Crafty Creations - #284 It's All About the S - (Steampunk Theme, Steampunk Spells papers)

Another quick post...

I have put together a quick layered card using the freebie digi stamp from Lelli-Bot Crafts. They are running a guest DT Call on their blog and I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring! I have used the 6x6 'Believe' paper pad from Prima and a simple matting and layering composition. I added a lace punched border using an x-cut punch and finished with a sentiment from Craftwork Cards. The image is coloured with pencils rather than my usual Promarkers.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges -
Lelli-bot Crafts - Guest DT Call

Party Time Tuesday - #174 Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Perfectly Rustics - #23 Photo Inspiration (I have used several from the colour palette)

Anything But a Card Challenge at Crafting by Designs

We have a fabulous challenge at Crafting by Designs this week - I'm hosting and my theme of choice is 'Anything but a Card'! We have the amazing Octopode Factory as a sponsor and I have used the Jareth image! Jareth is the Goblin King from The Labyrinth movie, played by David Bowie! One of my very favourite movies from when I was a kid.
I have made an art journal page using the image which was printed out quite large and coloured with Promarkers. I coloured the  background of my page with turquoise, purple and orange Dylusions sprays. I used water in a spray through a spotty stencil and then modelling paste through a Dutch Doobadoo Star Stencil.
I sprayed some more turquoise Dylusions and once dry used my white Uniball Signo pen to draw around the stars. The black stamping is a Visible Image stamp - 'Ripped Fishnets' - with a Ranger Black Archival ink pad.
The wording are quotes from the movie in a free (for personal use) font from Dafont.com called 'Bleeding Cowboys'. I've printed them onto white pearlescent paper - the larger quote is mounted onto a spellbinders Fleur De Lis square coloured with Dylusions.
The final touch before attaching the image and quotes is some Turquoise Sparkle Medium from Imagination Crafts through a chevron stencil.

Thanks for looking! I hope you'll join in this challenge and create something... just not a card!

We have a fabulous challenge starting today at Love To Create Challenge Blog - the theme is 'Die Cuts'! Really easy one this week, grab your die cutting machine and layer them up and show us what you make! We are sponsored by Whoopsie Daisy and I've used this lovely young girl image and coloured her with Promarkers.

The paper I've used was a magazine freebie layered with white pearlescent paper. The picket fence and flower dies are from Memory Box. The decorative ovals are Spellbinders. The banner die is Joanna Sheen. The scalloped card was pre packaged but you could die cut yourself a fancy shaped card too! To finish, the sentiment is Craftwork Cards.

I will enter this card into the following challenges:

New Release Lucy Loo Image at The East Wind

Good morning lovelies! Hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend... if it's a holiday where you are! I enjoyed Sunday morning near Edinburgh at a small but perfectly formed Paper Craft Show by Sincerely Yours and got some fabulous new papers!

This morning though, we have a new image release at The East Wind - there's a new image every Friday and Monday so keep your eyes peeled...especially again this Friday! *wink wink*
Today's image is Lucy Loo 'Powdered and Towered' and shows the fabulous Lucy with 'BIG' hair and her sweet kitty cat too. I have coloured her with Promarkers and edged the paper with Dusty Concord DI. The background paper is Craftwork Cards 'Time Flies' - the sentiment and bow are from the same kit. All have been edged with the same Dusty Concord. I decided to keep this card wimple to let the image take centre stage!
I will enter this card into the following challenges:

Merry Christmas?

We had a One Word Wonder yesterday in a crafty Facebook group that I like to visit and the word was 'Christmas'! I found this fabulous Dilly Beans Framed Disturbed Snowman and coloured him up with Promarkers. I dug around in my stash for some DCWV Christmas papers - the sentiment was cut from the bottom of the purple background paper and layered up with 3D foam. And a panel of the pink sentiment paper added, the image is mounted on foam too.

I am taking the 'Merry Christmas' as sarcasm!! I should maybe have drawn on a question mark!
I am entering the card into the current Dilly Beans challenge - Based on a Song... the lyrics 'Frosty the snowman was a jolly, happy soul' .... very tongue in cheek for this deranged and frazzled looking snowman! hahaha

I will enter this in the following challenges:
Dilly Beans - Based on a Song
Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge - #26 Anything Goes
52 Christmas Card Throwdown - May Stash Challenge (old papers, new card stock, newish image)
Completely Christmas Challenge - #13 Anything Goes
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - #12 Anything Goes
Stampavie and More - #212 Christmas in May

What a sunny Monday morning, almost makes it a Happy Monday! We have a sketch for you to play with this week at Love to Create challenge blog. We have three sponsors this week and I have used an image from StampArt Design by Kathryne.

This is the sketch and I am not great at thinking outside the box when it comes to a sketch so my card is pretty much identical to it! I dont have a circle die but do have the Spellbinders beaded circles so have used that for my centre, adding pink card candi and Craftwork Cards mini pink bohemian layered flowers. The papers are from a magazine freebie and the sentiment is also Craftwork Cards.
I hope you will have a go with this week's sketch, we'd love to see what you do with it!

We have a fabulous challenge going on at PunkyouGirl this month! 'Things With Wings' is the theme and Delicious Doodles/Delicious Darkness are the sponsors!

I've added Ice Greys to the wings, lilac and lavendar to her hair, blush and some darker tones for the skin and some fabulous greens for the foliage - all in Promarkers. I've distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and added Black Soot DI around the edges. Challenge #7 'Bride of May' at The East Wind

Congratulations to the winners of challenge #6 at The East Wind! Today it is time for a new challenge! 'Bride of May' is the theme for this fortnight and we love seeing your creations, we'd love to have you join in and you have the chance to win some images from The East Wind Etsy shop.

I have used an unconventional wedding image I think! I've used the Lucy Loo 'Blow the Skull Kiss' image, kept her very light in colour, lots of Vanilla for the dress - coloured with Promarkers of course. I found a fabulous blonde 3 colour combination online and love it for her hair.
The papers I have used are from the Craftwork Cards Tea Dance collection and I've layered them and added in some white pearlescent paper too. The fancy edge is an X-Cut border punch. The bow was made using the same papers and a Craftwork Cards bow pad page as a template! The sentiment is also Craftwork Cards.

I've coloured the image with promarkers and added Mowed Lawn DI to the edges of the image. I've layered up some papers from my stash with dark pink card. I've used a Cheery Lynn corner die and Die-namics swirl die to embellish and finished with a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Friendship Challenge at Love to Create

Time for a new challenge at Love to Create today and the theme is 'Friendship'. We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps who supply a vast range of digital images and papers. They also carry images from other designers including some of my favourites. I was glad to be able to use one of the set of 4 Shoe images designed by Ike's Art and I've gone with the skeleton hand shoe!!

I've used a 6x6 scalloped square card, tinting the edges with Fired Brick Distress Ink and layering up black pearlescent paper with some DP. The spotty paper was DCWV and black and white but I coloured it with the same DI. The top patterned card is Kanban. I coloured the image with Promarkers in Cool Greys and Black. The sentiment was printed from the pc and die cut.

New Lucy Loo Release at The East Wind!

Well, I hope you will know by now, I love the Lucy Loo images at The East Wind! And today there is another brand new image being released by the artist Unky. The image is called Rose and you can find her in the Etsy shop here!
I have coloured her using my promarkers and distressed the background using Dusty Concord and Black Soot DI. The spotty paper is Kaisercraft and has been layered over purple pearlescent paper, the same has been die cut using a spellbinders die under the image. The sentiments and candi are Craftwork Cards, also coloured using Dusty Concord.
The flowers I have used are from Sweet Lilac and the lovely Linda Simpson from their Design Team was very kind to send me some samples to have a go with. The black blooms were left as they were as was the purple rose. I wanted to see how well they coloured, so the white cherry blossom and a few other flowers were sprayed with purple Dylusions spray and left to dry. The colours came out really well, I've layered them up to make bigger flowers and love how they look!

I will be entering this card into the following challenges -
Sweet Lilac Paper Flowers - Monochrome
The Corrosive Challenge - Banner Day
Challenge 4 Everybody - Anything Goes

Just for the sake of it!

Well, I've had a pretty good week this week! My Tickled Pink card won at Ike's Art and came in Top 3 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and my Pearls and Bling card got Pick of The Week at The Stamping Chef! So I sat early this morning colouring, just for the sake of it! I found a fabulous sketch on 'Crafting When We Can' and made my image into a card.

I've used the Bella Broomstick image from The Stamping Chef (again!) and coloured her in black, white and orange to go with my 'Thirty One' paper pad from Pebbles. I've used orange and black pearlescent papers for matting and layering. And I've used a Crafts Too oval die to cut a mount for the image. The stars are a Joanna Sheen signature die - this is the first time I've tried layering the die cuts like that, i've seen it on a few cards recently and quite like the effect!

I will enter this card in the following challenges:
The Stamping Chef - #27 Anything Goes
Crafting When We Can - #68 Sketch
WeDoDoobadoo - #5 Lots of Layers
