Well, it's February! And Love is in the air at Just For Fun challenges so this month is all about the 'L' word. Whether it's Valentine's, anniversary or just a general 'love you' type card, come and join us! Here is my example for your inspiration.
I have used the Craftwork Cards Correspondence collection for my card. I have used a 6x6 card base, covered it with a paper and then a second one on top which has been cut along the center from the right hand side, then rolled back to reveal the papers underneath. I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to create a large flower - this was edged with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink and Platinum Stickles. The edge of the card also has platinum stickles with some diamantes. I've finished the card with some sentiments and tag from the kit with some crinkle ribbon.
With the bits I had left over, I created this ATC for a swap I was involved with in January and now that the recipient has it, I can show you!
I look forward to seeing your 'Love'ly creations for our challenge!
Thanks for looking!

A New Year and A New Home Card for A New Challenge at Just for Fun
Time for a new challenge at Just For Fun and rather than being a 'New Year' card, the theme is 'Anything New' so I have made a 'New Home' card for my best friend who recently moved house and changed job all at the same time!
I have used the Vintage Boho kit from Craftwork Cards which includes papers, sentiments, die cut flowers and birds with birdhouses. I thought the bird house was very apt for a new home. I have used some 'pink bubblegum' Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels to give a pearly sheen which you cant quite see (sorry!) and edged the flowers and sentiments with Worn Lipstick distress ink. The central panel uses the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis square die and I've finished with some lace and diamante sparkles.
I used my paper pricking tool to help shape the layers of the flowers before using Cosmic Shimmer glue to adhere the layers and attach the blooms to the card.
I hope you will pop over to the Just for Fun challenge blog and see the inspiration from the rest of the team and let us have a look at your 'New' makes!
thanks for looking!

Christmas Prize Challenge at Just For Fun!
Wow!!! It's December already! Still cant quite believe how quickly the year has gone! And to celebrate the season, lots of Christmas challenges this month, starting today with Just For Fun Challenge Blog.
My project today is a Poinsettia Wreath using products from Craftwork Cards. I have layered up the die cut flowers and holly leaves, added stickles in green, red and platinum and used my hot glue gun to adhere the flowers to the wreath circle. Some red organza ribbons is tied at the top for hanging the wreath perhaps on a wall or the mantle or even a tree. I finished with a coating of Spray and Sparkle.
I have made two wreaths so both are slightly different.
Here's a close up of the first wreath so you can hopefully see the depth of the flower layers.
And the second wreath with a close up.
Thanks for looking! I hope you will pop by and show us your Christmas makes!

Favourite Colour Challenge at Just For Fun....
You know what that means.. PURPLE!!!
Yeah, my favourite colour is purple and I have made a birthday card for the Just For Fun Challenge Blog using some stunning papers from the Craftwork Cards Time Flies Collection. This is a large 8x8" card and I have actually given it to my friend for her 50th birthday.
The front of the card was covered with a book print type paper which was spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Fully Purple. Another of the papers was torn and used in the two corners and all the edges inked with Dusty Concord Distress Ink from Tim Holtz at Ranger.
I used a spellbinders Fluer de Lis square to cut a mat of the cog patterned paper for the die cut and layered butterfly to sit upon. Again this was inked with dusty concord. I added one of the die cut sentiments, a purple bow and some paper flowers. The corners also have a purple pearlescent flourish cut using a die-namics die.
The front was finished with some Purple Stickles around the sentiment and butterfly wings and Star Dust Stickles on the flowers and butterfly body.
I also added some torn paper, a sentiment and die cut label to the inside... .along with yet more dusty concord!
I hope you will join us and show us your favourite colour creations at Just For Fun this month!

Just For Fun First Ever Challenge!!! Anything Goes!
Well, some fabby news this morning!!! I have been chosen to be part of the Design Team for the brand new 'Just For Fun' Challenge Blog by the very talented Elaine Rayworth.
Today is the very first challenge and to get you started its an 'Anything Goes'. Hopefully you will pop over to the blog and see what the team have created to get your inspiration flowing we have an immensly talented group of ladies with some fabulous projects to show you.
Here is mine to start you off! I decided not to make a card but to alter a tin can that had been sitting on my craft desks for months! I have used the gorgeous Craftwork Cards 'Time Flies' Collection to do so.
Sit back and relax as there are lots of photos!
The Collection includes 8x8 papers, die cut butterflies and flowers, paper ribbons, bows and sentiments. I used some lavender seam binding ribbon around the top and to make a bow. The edges of the butterflies and flowers that I have layered up were tinted using Tim Holtz Milled Lavender Distress Ink.
I've added some liquid pearls on the tags and butterflies in Platinum.
I covered some tags and tickets in the gorgeous papers.
I've also added some Platinum Stickles to the edges of the flowers and butterflies.
I hope you have enjoyed my project, now let me see yours by joining in the challenge at Just For Fun!
Thanks for looking!
