Show Your Digi Love First Challenge!

Betty of Simply Betty Stamps recently had a fabulous idea! To set up a challenge blog, just for fun, without sponsors, where we could support and promote some of our favourite Digital Stamps artists. Today is the first challenge at Show Your Digi Love. The winner will be chosen by the Design Team, there will be a badge for your blog, and you will be invited to be a guest designer for the next challenge. We really hope you will embrace this venture and have some fun - I know I am looking forward to using some long forgotten and as yet unused images!

This month the three stamp companies we would like to see you using are Simply Betty StampsMo's Digital Pencil and Make it Crafty.

I have used the Mortician's Daughter image from Simply Betty Stamps for my project this month, colouring her with my usual Promarkers and adding Glossy Accents on her eyes. I have used oval dies from Crafts Too and Floral Oval from Spellbinders. The papers, sentiment and flowers are from Craftwork Cards Velvet Plum collection. The bow was cut using the cameo and a file from the Silhouette Store. I've finished with some glossy accents and Star Dust stickles on the candi, and Purple Liquid Pearls too.

The East Wind Facebook Contest - Alice in Wonderland!

Good morning! Why not join us today at The East Wind's Facebook group. Lots of inspiration to be found and a new contest starting today with a theme you might like - Alice In Wonderland!
I have used the amazing Lucy Loo Hatter image and coloured her with Promarkers, adding black pencil to enhance the shading. I've fussy cut and mounted her on black card. My background was made by adding Seedless Preserves DI to the inside of a Couture Creations 'Tea Party' embossing folder before running white card through the Cuttlebug. This has the effect of tinting and embossing at the same time - I usually add colour to both sides of the folder and pick the prettiest!
I have finished with some black and purple card for layering, purple metallic candi and matching ribbons. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards 'Time Flies' collection.

I have a Fat Page to show you this morning with a new release image from The East Wind. You can pick this up at the Etsy store later today. This is Lucy Loo 'Song for Tears' and I have  coloured her with Promarkers and black pencil.

Anything Goes in January at Crafting By Designs

Welcome to the first Crafting By Designs challenge of 2015! As per last year, the first of the month is 'Anything Goes' and I have used an image from Smeared Ink, one of this month's generous sponsors. This is the 'About Time Pocket Watch' and I chose it as I love it but really didn't know what I was going to do with it. However, you know that way when a song gets stuck in your head... well, everytime I looked at the image all I heard were lyrics from Smashing Pumpkins 'Tonight' in my head! So I figured I'd make an Art Journal page with the lyrics and the image! This is a smaller 6x6 page.
My background uses several dylusions sprays, I've stamped across with black Archival ink using a Visible Image barbed wire stamp. The stars were stencilled on using a Dutch Doobadoo Mask and Black Soot DI, highlighted with white Uniball Signo Pigment ink pen. Around the edges, I coloured with black promarker and wrote the lyrics with the Uniball pen.
The image itself is coloured using Rusty Hinge and Crushed Olive DI applied with a blending tool I've used the white pen again to highlight parts of the image too.

I will enter this at Smudgy Antics January Challenge.

Cant wait to see what you come up with for this challenge!
