'Love' Challenge at Craft Mojo

Morning folks, February already and we're thinking about love and romance on many of the challenge blogs this month. Due to increasing commitments this will be my last post for Craft Mojo's challenges and the theme this month is 'Anything Love'.

My card this month features papers from the Craftwork Cards Vintage Boho paper pack. I have layered up the papers, distressing one and edging the others with 'Worn Lipstick' Distress Ink using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool. The 'love' is a stamp I found in my stash and the pink dots are Candi, also from Craftwork Cards.

The flower embellishment is a new technique that I have learned in January! I have decided that I should learn something new every month or so to try and prevent my getting bored! I was scouring YouTube for videos on how to use Alcohol Inks which i recently procured and found a fabulous video by Enfys Cashmore - who, incidentally, is on the Craftwork Cards DT - and thought I would give it a go! Here's a link to the video!

Basically, I got some plumbers aluminium tape, adhered it so scrap card stock, die cut this using Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Florals die, embossed the flowers to give texture and then used Red and Eggplant Adirondack Alcohol inks to colour the metal effect flowers. These were layered up, some free hand leaves drawn, embossed and coloured with Meadow ink and all attached to the card! Simples!

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you will feel the love and create something for the challenge this month.
