One of my favourite Holiday's of the year - Halloween! And Dilly Beans are celebrating 6 months till the next one this fortnight with a Halloween Challenge! I am also joining this up with The Corrosive Challenge where Dilly Beans are the sponsor with a theme of 'Head Gear' - so I have chosen my image with these challenges in mind.
I have used image #262 Framed Girl & Spider and coloured her using Promarkers, adding a touch of reflection with a white Uniball Signo pigment ink pen. I've layered up sheets of Bo Bunny Fright Delight designer papers with black pearlesent paper for the background and added die cuts for detail. I have used a Spellbinders web for the corner. The spider and '31' are both Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Bigz dies.
I will enter this card in the following challenges -
Dilly Beans - Halloween in April (9/5)
The Corrosive Challenge - Head Gear (witch's hat) (11/5)
Addicted to Stamps - Holiday (Halloween!) (7/5)
Crafting for All Seasons - Lots of Layers (14/5)
Inky Impressions - #157 Anything Goes (7/5)

Anything Goes May Challenge at Crafting by Designs
Can you believe it's the end of April! We are starting our May Anything Goes Challenge at Crafting By Designs today to give you an extra day or two to get crafty! I am hosting this challenge and would you to pop over and see the fabulous inspiration from the Crafting By Designs Team.
We have three sponsors for you this month - Smeared Ink, All Dressed Up and The East Wind. I couldn't resist using one of the new Lucy Loo images from The East Wind for this challenge. The image is called 'Attitude' and I've coloured her with pink and purple Promarkers.
The background paper is from my stash and the black Card Candi and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards. The topper is an uncoated and foiled cardstock topper from Lelli-Bot Crafts, a new crafting range. This is from their 'Gothic Grunge' collection. I have coloured it using Picked Raspberry and Dusty Concord DI. I have die cut a sheet of the matching 6x6 paper with a Spellbinders die and coloured it too, adding some Black Soot DI as well.
I think the images go very well together!
Thanks for looking! I hope you'll get a chance to join in the Anything Goes challenge this month!

Liebster Award!
Wow!! I have seen this on many blogs and I am thrilled to have been nominated for this by Penny Rae of PennyRae's Creations blog. This is a Pay-it-Forward type award, it allows us to highlight blogs with less than 300 followers and bring some recognition to these newer blogs and I'm delighted to go along with this!
On nominating me, Penny has set some questions for me to answer so here goes -
1-What is your favorite type of card to make?
Quick and simple, although I'm loving my new dies!
2-What tool can you not live without?
scissors!
3-Do you have your own craft room or space?
I have a corner in a room in my house, shared with the family pc, the laundry area and a fridge freezer!
4-Do you only make cards or do you make other types of papercrafts?
I do mainly cards, I love paper flowers and making wreaths from them, and I love wall hangings. I dabble in altering things too.
5-What has been your biggest crafting achievment?
I dont think there's been one big one, but all the little ones do add up - I've been featured on the Focus on You posts at the Craftwork Cards blog several times and recently won some candi and stamps from them. I'm also delighted to have been recently accepted to join the design team for The East Wind. And I run a challenge blog too!
6-What is your favorite craft store?
There aren't many that I have been to or can get to with ease! However, two come to mind -
Craftworld at Hillington in Glasgow and
Mc Oyster Papercrafts at Poles Apart in Cupar.
7-What is your favorite color to craft with?
Purple
8-Where do you get your inspiration from?
other bloggers, facebook, pinterest, etsy, magazines, google!
9-Do you work outside the home?
Not at the moment, I'm a stay at home mum to 4 kids!
10-What do you do if you lose your Mojo?
I peruse all those places under number 8!!
11-Which is your favorite Digi Stamp?
Oh my word!!! My favourites change all the time!!!
At the moment anything featuring Lucy Loo by The East Wind.
I will be nominating 5 blogs to receive this award - Penny nominated a couple that I would have used, so here are my selections!
Samara Navi
Pam Hicks

April Showers/May Flowers at Crafting by Designs
Well, I dont know about you but the sun has been out here for a few days and it has been lovely - I even saw the bottom of my laundry basket... it was fleeting, but yes, it was empty for a few hours! Amazing how the simple things, like getting a washing out on the line, can cheer you up!
Our challenge for this week at Crafting by Designs is 'April Showers/May Flowers' and you can interpret this how you like - just explain in your post if it's not clear. We have the lovely Lia Stampz sponsoring us this week along with Cute Ink and Flourish With a Bling.
I have used an image called Lucy Spring from Lia Stampz and coloured her with promarkers and added Stardust Stickles to the wings. The papers were from a magazine freebie and the roses from my stash. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards and the banner die is a new Joanna Sheen Signature Die.
I will enter this card at the following challenges -
Lia Stampz - #63 Pastel Colours (pinks) (31/04)
Bearly Mine - April Challenge Spring (01/05)
Digi Galore - Flowers (Floral papers and roses) (26/04)
Doodle Pantry Challenge - Any Digi Goes (25/04)
Feeling Crafty Challenge - Anything for a Child (01/05)
Ladybug Crafts - Here comes the Spring (01/06)

Tickled Pink!
Two of my favourite challenge blogs/digi artists - Ike's Art and Delicious Doodles - are going pink this fortnight for Breast Cancer Awareness! I figured I'd best join in!
I have used the 'Vaguely Goth' image from Ike's Art and the Awareness Ribbon which is from a freebie 'Awareness' set from Delicious Doodles. The challenges on both blogs are to go Pink... which is so not like me!! I usually colour this image with purple hair and lots of black as the name suggests but even she is sporting some pink eyeshadow and lipstick for the occasion, having dyed her hair all shades of Promarker Pinks!
I've used freebie papers from a crafty mag. The picket fence die from Memory Box and the frame is Spellbinders. I have used the current sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 so will be entering my card in their challenge too!
Challenges -
Ike's World Challenge - Tickled Pink - winner!
Delicious Doodles - Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness - spotlight
Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 - Sketch #011 - Top3!!!
Crafting Musketeers - #12 Monochrome

Lucy Loo With MirrorBall Earring and Skull Bag!
I feel rather blessed to be a member of the design team over at The East Wind! However, I haven't been entirely in the team spirit recently having nursed my 4yo through the chicken pox at the beginning of last week, it is now the turn of my 2yo to have them! I did get some crafting done a few days ago before he got too bad and here it is!
We had a 'Monochrome' challenge in a Facebook group I am a member of and I knew I had to use one of my favourite 'Lucy Loo' images! Check out The East Wind Etsy Shop! I have coloured her using promarkers in mainly blues and used a blue tone paper pad to layer up behind her. I added a doily coloured with Faded Jeans DI and some Black Soot to darken it.
The papers were all slightly different blue shades so I used Salty Ocean DI on them to tone them all in together and some Black Soot around the edges too. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards and was also coloured with Salty Ocean and Black Soot. The die cut corners are Cheery Lyn and coloured the same way.
Why not have a look at the current The East Wind Challenge on the blog and join our facebook group for more inpiration and chances to win with our FB Competition!

Dark Themed Anything Goes challenge at LOC!
We have an Anything Goes challenge at Left of Center, with a twist! It has to be dark themed! We have two fabulous sponsors - Smeared Ink and Limited Runs so two prizes up for grabs this week!
I have used the fabulous 'Zombie Pin Up Tease' from Smeared Ink and printed her out quite tall to make an oversized tag!! She is coloured with Promarkers. I cut some white card, inked it all over with Fired Brick DI with Black Soot around the edges. The barb wire is a Dutch Doobadoo stencil with Black Soot DI on a blending tool. I've finished the tag with an organza bow and black sticky pearls... and length of MS Drippy Goo down the edge of the image!
I will enter this on the Smeared and Smudged forum where you can find the Smudgy Antics challenge.
I will also enter this at Crafting When We Can - Challenge #67 Ribbons/Twine/Washi - I've used Ribbon!
I hope you'll join us at LOC this week!

Asian Themed Challenge at Crafting By Designs
Our latest challenge at Crafting by Designs is themed 'Asia' and we have the fabulous Nicecrane Designs sponsoring us this week with some amazing images that we had the pleasure of creating with for your inspiration.
I have used two images from the Colourful Geishas Volume 2 set, sized them on Photoshop before printing them out - these are already coloured images. I've layered them with pearlescent paper. The background blue patterned paper is the packaging from the chocolates hubby bought for Valentine's Day! A bit of recycling in this card! The other paper is DCWV and the sentiment is Craftwork Cards. Some organza and sticky pearls finish this off.
Thanks for looking! I hope you will join us this week!

Use Humour at The East Wind
A new challenge has started over at The East Wind and this time we want you to add humour to your project! Whether it's a joke or saying or funny image, we look forward to seeing what you make.
I have gone with my take on an old Irn Bru advert which I adapted at Christmas and now have used the sentiment for a birthday card - you can see the background to this sentiment here!
I have used the Lucy Loo 'Love Me' image from The East Wind and coloured her with Promarkers. I've used an XCut Parenthesis Rectangle die for matting and layered her with black pearlescent paper. The patterned papers are from 'Forever in Time' paper pads and I've finished with black organza and card Candi. The sentiment is hand written and really should have been better but time got the best of me!
We look forward to seeing your take on the challenge theme!

I'm the Mother of a Teenager!!
I don't know how that happened!! But, overnight, I've gone from mother of four.... to mother of 3 plus a teenage boy!! hahaha So I asked Daniel what he wanted on his birthday card and he said 'a red robot'!
Found this fabulous Dilly Beans robot image in my files and some black and white manly papers in my stash. I coloured the image with Promarkers and went over the top with Fired Brick Distress Ink on a blending tool to dirty up the image a bit. I added some Fired Brick Distress Ink to one of the papers and cut a Tim Holtz Weathered Clock from red card - this was distressed with Black Soot Distress Ink too.
I added some White highlights with my Uniball Signo pen, the time is set to 1pm which is 1300 hours in 24 hour clock!! Subtle! haha And added some '13's on the diamond papers. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards.
I shall enter this at the following challenges -
My Craft Creations - Always Anything Goes (26/04)
The Paper Girls Challenge - 13th Birthday, Oldest Child (21/04)
Crafting When We Can - For a child
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - Make it for the Boys(03/05)

It's time for team B to show you their inspiration for the Ribbons and/or Flowers challenge at Left of Center this fortnight! You have another full week to get your entries in for a chance to win images from Sassy Studio Designs.
I have used Sassy Witch and coloured her with Promarkers. I added the Spellbinders spiderweb die, some stamps from My Mind's Eye and orange polka dot ribbon. The background is orange card, stenciled with versamark ink through a circle stencil. This was then heat embossed with clear powder, and the card then sprayed with purple dylusions spray.
I hope you'll join our challenge!

Candi Love with Craftwork Cards
What great Candi inspiration from Marie Chillmaid and the team at Craftwork Cards for Candi Love Week! You might have noticed some candi flowers on a couple of my cards this week and I have made a Tag and ATC Storage box from the inside of some mini rolls! The kids devoured them before I had got one so I figured I'd use the box.
I have covered it, inside and out, with papers from the Flying High Paper Pad. The edges are inked with Peacock Feathers distress ink.
I used a Spellbinders die to cut a panel for the front, embossed and added more Peacock Feathers to highlight the shape. I've added teal candi around the edge. The white candi was added, stamped using Craftwork Cards candi alphabet stamps and inked with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.
I added 4 small candi flowers to the corners. Along both sides, I have crushed teal with gold polka dots candi and used as a border - this also hides the paper join! There are some more crushed candi along the sides too.
Marie has featured my project on the Craftwork Cards Blog today along with another fabulous fan make. Why not pop over and leave some love there too!?
I am going to enter this in the following challenges -
Altered Eclectics - Anything Goes (Altered box)
Rhedd's Creative Spirit - April Challenge (Altered Art)
Tando Creative Challenge - Recycle (inner box from Cadbury Mini Rolls!)
Crafty Girls Challenges - Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes

Anything Goes April Challenge at Crafting By Designs
I'm very late with this post, so it's just a quick one from me today! Sassy Studio Designs are just one of the sponsors at Crafting By Designs for this month's Anything Goes challenge!
I have used Sassy Syrena, coloured her with Promarkers and used the Spellbinders Deckle Edged rectangles to cut and mount her. The papers and sentiment are Craftwork Cards and I've finished it with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and card candi.
I hope you can join in our Anything Goes challenge this month!
Thanks for looking!

The East Wind Challenge - Use a Sentiment
This is my first official post as part of the design team for The East Wind! The weather here has been terribly foggy the last few days and I'm gutted I couldn't get a better photo for my first post! Here's hoping it brightens up for the rest of my term!
The challenge this fortnight is themed 'Use a Sentiment'. Check out The East Wind Blog for information on how to sign up for our Newletter and Freebie image! If you use a TEW image, you get more entries to the challenge so it's worth a look!
I have used a 6x6 scalloped edged card and 'Flying High' papers from Craftwork Cards, with matching deep pink card from my stash. I've added Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks to the edges. My sentiment comes from a sheet of 'Easter' themed rub-ons and I thought it was perfect with this image!
I hope you'll join our challenge!

I've coloured the image using Promarkers and fussy cut her, popped her on some 3D foam for dimension. The card is finished with some Die-namics swirls with platinum Liquid Pearls.
I hope you'll join our challenge!
