31DOH Day #13 and Guest DT Post for Haunted Design House

Welcome to Day #13 of 31 Days of Halloween! I hope you enjoyed hopping yesterday! Thank you for all the wonderful comments! You can find the blog roll in my side bar. Your first stop on the hop is Terra, you should have come to me from Lyneen, and your next stop is Rebecca. Remember to comment on all the blogs on the hop for a chance to win at the end of the month and keep in mind the Scavenger Hunt for daily prizes!

Today is an exciting day for me! I was asked to do a GDT Spot for the Minions in the dungeons over at Haunted Design House! I was thrilled to be asked and could not say no! That and Contagion of Corrosion Croms is very persuasive! This fortnight's challenge is entitled 'You Wood Do That' and the idea is to use wood of some description. I spent several days wandering around the house looking for something made of wood to alter/destroy when all the time the wood was right in front of me!
This is a bit of my crafty workspace - excuse the mess! My table was an old computer unit and I keep notebooks and things behind the little square door - things are stuck on there that wont come off, my MS punch hangs on the handle, its just a bit messy.... and its made of wood! (well, sort of lol)
So I took the door off the unit, pulled of all the stuff, gave it a good clean. I covered it in gesso then went round the edges with black acrylic paint. I got 2 domino 6.5x6.5" papers from Kaisercraft and two paper from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium and coated them with Fired Brick Distress Stain and added Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges. These were stuck down using Mod Podge.
Meanwhile, I printed out Delicious Darkness Lucifer image on an A4 sheet of paper, covered it with more Fired Brick stain and let it dry. I've added some brown pencils on the horns, purple on this trousers and darkened the eyes a bit... which you cant see for the shine! There's also some more Black Soot DI to darken the shadowy areas on his right side. He was fussy cut, mounted on black paper and fussy cut again.
The whole thing was coated in more matte finish Mod Podge to adhere the graveyard scene and web flourishes which were cut from Silhouette Studio files on the Cameo. A final top coat of Mod Podge was put over the door before hanging back on the unit.
I have had a lot of fun with this challenge! I hope you like it and that you'll come and join in!

I will enter my project in the following challenges:
Delicious Darkness Challenge - #3 ATG/Halloween

Thanks for looking!
