Anything That Shines at Crafting By Designs

Morning! Time for a new challenge this week at Crafting By Designs. This week we want to see something shiny - and apologies for the glare in my photo - that would be the shiny metallic card!

Ribbon Challenge at Crafting by Designs

Good morning! I am delighted to announce that I have rejoined the Crafting by Designs team and this is my first challenge back with the lovely Doris, Sharon and the team! I have missed them so and incredibly grateful that they were happy to have me back!

This week's challenge is 'Ribbons' and the sponsor for this one is Sami Stamps. I have used the 'My Favourite Pumpkin' image and have coloured this zombie girl with WHSmith blendable pencils adding some distress inks to the background.

This is a 6x6" card using papers from DCWV 6x6" Eek-a-Boo stack. The embellishment is Jolee's Boutique, the sentiment is from Create with TLC and the Halloween ribbons are from my stash.

Winter, Glitter, Sparkles with Crafting by Designs

Today is the start of a new challenge at Crafting by Designs!

Christmas in September Challenge at Crafting By Designs

Good morning! It's been sunnier here this last week than the whole of 'summer' put together! Here's hoping tomorrow's a good one for my day off this week! In the meantime, we're getting ready for Christmas at Crafting by Designs and our September edition of the challenge starts today.

Sami Stamps is our fabulous sponsor and I've used the Candy Cane Elf image, coloured with promarkers and mounted on red vellum. Delving into old stash again, I've used Papermania papers for the card itself and more of the vellum. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards and the die cut corners are Memory Box.

Hi!! Long time no blog! I've managed to make a card for this week's challenge at Left of Center. The theme is 'Insects' and our sponsor this week is Sami Stamps! I hope you can join in with us!

Anything Goes for May at Crafting By Designs

Good morning! It's time for a new Anything Goes challenge at Crafting By Designs and we have two fabulous sponsors for you this month! I just couldn't decide so I have made two projects! 

The first is using Spooky Flower 3 from Sami Stamps which I have coloured with Promarkers and some black pencil. I fussy cut part of the image and layered it on black and purple card.

The spiderweb DP and embellishments are from my stash and the purple and green paper is from Bo Bunny Fright Delight. I have finished with some purple liquid pearls and a sentiment from Create With TLC.

I have used Witch Framed with Frog from Bugaboo Stamps also coloured her with Promarkers and Pencil too.

I have used paper from the same Bo Bunny Fright Delight paper pack and finished with some Purple Stickles and a sparkly web embellishment.

Spiders at Left of Center with Sami Stamps

SPIDERS!!! Yes, look away now if you have a phobia!! That's the theme for our latest challenge at Left of Center Creative Challenges and I have created two projects with images from our sponsor - Sami Stamps.

First up is Spooky Flower 2, coloured with Promarkers and layered on purple and black card. The big spider was cut on my Cameo using a Silhouette store cut file. The DP was in my stash and I'm not entirely sure who made it. I've finished with purple self-adhesive pearls and purple pearlescent candi.

Next up is Zombie Beauty. Also coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut then mounted onto black card. The DP is Bo Bunny Fright Delight and the spiders are also from the same cut file as above.

The spider web corner and graveyard scene are both Spellbinders dies and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.

Snowmen Challenge at Crafting By Designs

Good morning! We have a new challenge for you this week at Crafting By Designs and the theme is 'Snowmen'! I have chosen the 'My Snowey Friend' image by Sami Stamps one of our sponsors for this week.

I have coloured the image using Promarkers, black pencil and some Paprika Stickles for the carrot! My DP is a few years old from Craftwork Cards and I've also used white Candi. The sentiment is from Create with TLC and I've added some Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes.

Thanksgiving with Crafting by Designs

I am running late with this one given my unfortunate sickness bug that lingers. I have a couple of cards to share with you today for the new Thanksgiving Challenge at Crafting by Designs.

My first uses Acorn Harvest from Sami Stamps which I have coloured using Promarkers. I have used papers from a bargain 12x12" pad I bought in Lidl supermarket last year and some glittery embellishments from my stash. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.

The second card uses a pre-coloured image from Diane's Daydream Designs - a new sponsor to Crafting by Designs. I have used papers from the same pad and another of the Create with TLC Thanksgiving sentiments from their recent Thanksgiving Club. I've finished with more of the glittery leaves and a large 3D acorn embellishment.

Vintage Romance at Love to Create

Things with Wings at Crafting By Designs!

Oh I was excited to see the title of this challenge! I immediately knew I wanted Bats! Yes, Bats, the flying things, with wings! Sami Stamps are sponsoring us this week at Crafting By Designs and I have used the 'Web Veil' image for my card - admittedly I chose the image before seeing the theme but I think it works perfectly! Have gone Goth/Halloweeny for this make and dug out some dies!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and mounted her onto black pearlescent paper. The designer papers are from The Little Yellow Bicycle. The Spider and large Web are Spellbinders dies, cut from black card and embossed - the spider has some titanium gilding wax on his body. The book paper is cut with an X-Cut Parenthesis Rectangle Die. The bats are Memory Box and the Graveyard is a Tim Holtx On The Edge die.

I really look forward to seeing how you interpret our theme this week!

Sparkle with Bling at Love to Create

The theme at Love to Create this week is 'Make it Sparkle with Bling' and we have two sponsors on board this week with some fabulous goodies!! I had the pleasure of working with 'Zombie Beauty' from Sami Stamps and some very yummy black flourishes from 'Flourish With a Bling'. Of course, I had to go Halloween with the zombie and coloured her in purple and grey promarkers and set up the card with lots of die cuts! I have used Floral Ovals and Graveyard Scene from Spellbinders, the branches are a Tim Holtz 'On the Edge' die and there are some tiny Memory Box bats on there too. The sentiment is from Pebbles and the ribbons from my stash.
