Just a quick post from me today with a card using the Dilly Beans image #565 Sally Framed.
I've coloured her using my Promarkers and some Purple Stickles in the hair and Star Dust Stickles in her zombie eyes! I've used a white card base, black pearlescent paper, silver glittered paper and some black and white striped Gorjuss paper. For extra bling, I have used my trusty Poundland adhesive swirls! I finished the card with a seam binding bow and crystal head pins.
This is my second entry into this week's Dilly Beans Challenge - Glitter & Jewels.
Also entering into - Creative Creations - #15 anything goes and Through the CraftRoom Door - anything goes.

Dilly Beans Challenge - Glitter and Jewels
Happy Sunday morning everyone! We're all off on a day trip today so just a quick post from me with my first entry for this week's Dilly Beans Challenge which is entitled 'Glitter and Jewels'.
I have used Dilly Beans image #418 Lulu Framed and coloured her with a range of purple shade promarkers.... and then I added Purple Stickles to her amazing hair! I have used a sketch from A.R.T. Card Challenges and will enter her into this challenge as well.
The red and black striped paper was a freebie from Pixel Scrapper and i've used black and purple pearlescent papers for matting. The sentiment and black card candi are from Craftwork Cards.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend, thanks for popping by!

New Baby Boy Card
Did I mention before how hot it is!? Well, yeah, its still pretty hot! The kids have been in the pool all afternoon, we had some visitors and then an early dinner which has all resulted in my thinking that it must be a lot later than it is and therefore surely its bedtime!!! I guess I can dream!
Well, my visitors this afternoon were a friend of ours with his partner and new baby boy, Ethan. He is so cute and has a yummy fluffy head!!! Tiny toes and just stunning babyness about him! So, of course, a card had to be made and I decided to have a go at paper peicing an image since I dont have a selection of blue promarkers yet!
Here is the result - I think I might quite like paper peicing now! I put the hat on 3d foam to give a 3d effect and the skin has been coloured with promarkers. The papers I've used for the image and the card are from an old stack by Hot Off the Press. The image is from Lili of the Valley.
I used a card sketch but when I went to look for it, the challenge is over and I was too late! I have added glitter to the hat and blankie and will enter this into the Addicted to Clean and Simple Challenge #18 Glitter.

Another Christmas Card!
I've decided that I will get a head start on my Christmas Cards for this year and figured a good way to do that is to gleam inspiration from the miriad of sketch challenges out there in blog land!
This next card is based on a sketch from Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #100!
I have used Craftwork Cards Christmas Papers, sentiment and die cut flowers to make this card. The flowers have been shaped and layered to give dimension with rolled rose centres.
I added some Gold Stickles to the flowers for a bit of bling and Fired Brick Distress Ink round the edges of the papers.
As well as entering the Saturday Sketchbook, I'm also entering the following challenges with this card -
Simply Create Too - Christmas in July
Paper Crafting Journey - Christmas in July
My Craft Creations - Anything Goes
Eclectic Ellapu - Flowers

Simply Betty Stamps June Facebook Challenge!
I have fallen in love with Simply Betty Stamps!
You might remember the posts I had last week with lots of cards for their month long challenges in June - well, my wall hanging using the Emo Lola image was a winner and i'll trying to decide which digis to buy with my $10 gift certificate!
Now onto today's challenge! As a Facebook fan, we had the privilege of getting 'Summer' the fairy digi stamp to work with for this challenge. The brief being to not use designer papers but to create our own backgrounds for the digi.
I have used watercolour paper and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in Purple and Black Cherry to create a coloured background, i've ripped and torn my paper and ran one of the layers through the Cuttlebug swirly embossing folder for a bit of texture. I've added some matching ribbons and paper flowers.
I coloured my image using promarkers and added lavender, platinum and star dust stickle accents. Some platinum liquid pearls around the edges finish off my card.
I've not put a sentiment on there so I can use it next time I need a quick card for something and match the sentiment at the time!
Thanks for looking!

Simply Betty Stamps Birthday Challenges!
Today I apologise but I have loads of photos to show you!
Simply Betty Stamps are having a month long birthday celebration and have posted several challenges which I plan on entering today right at the end of the month before they finish! So, each card I've made, has a SBS digi stamp on it, coloured mainly with promarkers with lots of added extras depending on the theme of the challenge.
June 16th Challenge - a Smart @rse Card! Something sassy, nothing sweet! I have used Emo Lola and although she seems sweet with her 'have a nice day...' she makes it sassy with a 'somewhere else!' I've used papers from the DCWV Rockstar Matt Stack, ribbon, paper roses, card candi and bling.
June 8th - Something for Love or out of this world. I've gone with Emo Lola again in blacks and reds with mulberry paper, more flowers and ribbon and roses, and Valentine sentiment on top of heart embossed black card.
June 9th - Glitz up your grunge. I've used the Lavinia Framed digi with pearlescent paints and added lavender and platinum stickles to the girl. There's lilac diamantes around the frame, star dust stickles around the bottom of the frame and on the mulberry paper roses. Some lilac lace and feathers and some free damask papers from Pixel Scrapper which have been distressed around the edges and inked with Dusky Concord distress inks.
June 15th - Rock n Roll. - This is Emo Lola again with more of the DCWV Rockstar papers, a printed sentiment and EK Success punched border. I've kept this simple with just some black and purple liquid pearl accents.
June 18th - Anything Goes with any Emo. This is a tag I've made with EmoLola. I've coloured her with purple hair and a red and black emo/goth outfit. So, the tag is purple, red and black with black soot distress ink around the edges. This is finished with some bling and rolled roses with star dust stickles.
June 20th - Favourite Technique. Well, here is Belladonna on a wall hanging with rolled roses! As you will have noticed from the other creations on this page I love making rolled paper roses! They are so simple and effective and I love that I can have them to match anything that I make by using the same papers. I use a Marianne Creatables Chinese Rose die to curl spirals and then roll with my pokey tool using Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic glue to keep them from unrolling. Here I've adhered them to a wall hanging - another of my favourite things just now!
Well, that's a lot from me today, might go back to bed now!!!

Crafts Galore Facebook Page!
Just a quick stop in from me tonight to mention a fabulous group on Facebook who recently changed their name from Cards Galore... to Crafts Galore!
This is a crafty wee group with lots to see and a brand new Design Team bringing you challenges, questions, quizes and inspiration. Wednesday is the Quickie Challenge: you have 24 hours to make a project in 30 minutes or less - yesterday the additional brief was to include a 'tree or trees'.
I got my thinking cap on and then i must have taken it off as I forgot all about the challenge! My baby decided that he was getting up at 6.45am this morning and so by 7.15 I was at my desk and a 'tree' card was ready in about 25 minutes.
Here it is! I went with a Christmas Tree. I've used the Craftwork Cards candi tree stamp and the Glitter Candy Cane paper pack from last year with red card for matting and a matching sentiment. Some polka dot ribbon and platinum glitter on the tree complete the card.
A couple of hours later, the winner was announced and it was me! Thanks so much to Crafts Galore! Come and join us for tomorrow's challenge! Tell them Maureen sent you!
In hopes of more good luck, I am entering this card in the Simon Say's Stamp Challenge (anything goes).

Craftwork Cards June Goodybox has arrived!
I got the most decadent box of goodies in the post a few days ago! I had signed up for the 6 month deal on Goodyboxes from Craftwork Cards and the first did not disappoint! 8x8 papers, sentiments, flowers, ribbon, banners and candi in gorgeous pink, black and white with silver foiling. So here are the first two cards I've made with the kit!
This first card uses the black and silver heart paper with white foiled flowers which are also from Craftwork Cards. I've added the black candi from the kit to the side of the card and crushed some for the centre of the flower. The black and silver sentiment is from a previous kit.
This second card uses the same black and silver paper with a pink damask banner, pink candi and white sentiment from the kit. Some of the fabulous die cut flowers from the goodybox have been shaped and layered with some Star Dust Stickles.
I am entering the black, silver and white card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door: Always anything goes
Party Time Tuesdays: Anything goes

A Baptism Card
My daughter's friend Stacey, turned 8 this week - her card lent itself beautifully to the Dilly Beans Challenge this week and is a few posts below here. Her eighth birthday also meant another milestone for Stacey. Her family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - you might know them more commonly as 'Mormons' - and when a child in The Church turns 8, they can choose whether or not to be Baptised and Stacey made the decision to step into the water and take on the covenants that go along with becoming a member of The Church - there's a couple of links above if you're intrigued by this!!
I knew I had to make her another card! I started with a vision - Stacey and her father who would perform the baptism would both be wearing white and I really wanted to do an all white card.... with flowers on!
I dug out some Safmat to print a sentiment and my XCut Posey dies to make the flowers, Marianne Creatables Chinese Rose to make the rolled roses and a Cuttlebug swirly embossing folder for the background.
I am entering this card into the current challenge over at My Craft Creations entitled 'Special Occasions'.

Dilly Beans Challenge - Citrus Colours!
Just a quick post for me this morning - I'm heading out to Yorkhill Hospital to do 4 hours of Zumba in the rain to raise funds for Radio Lolipop - It would be great if you could sponsor me and you can do that here!
Now, i will share with you a card I made for my daughter's friend's birthday it also ties in very nicely with this week's Dilly Beans Challenge!
I have used several free papers from a new set over at Pixel Scrappers called Challenged. They are funky bright plain and patterned sheets and really fit the citrus colour palatte. I've kept it simple with matting and layering, some yellow organza and a large flower. I've rediscovered a love for Safmat recently and used this to print the sentiment.
Here's a close up of my ladybird image - its coloured with promarkers and some Fruit Punch stickles on the wings. I dont have a lot of bright coloured markers so the yellow and green aren't as bright as i'd have liked but overall i'm quite happy with it.

Tsunami Rose Butterflies!
Today I'm here with a gorgeous 6x6" book page printed with vintage butterflies from Tsunami Rose Designs. Its such a gorgeous paper I dont think it needs much else! Tsunami Rose papers are printable files that you buy to print in your home as often as needed - so I printed it twice and inked around the edges of the first sheet with Vintage Photo distress ink.
With the second sheet, I fussy cut many of the full butterflies and used cosmic shimmer glue to the bodies, allowing the wings to fly off the page, giving a 3D effect. I added corner flourishes and a sentiment. Lace around three edges finishes this wall hanging with matching blue organza.

Tea Dance Candles and a Card
Just a quick post from me this gloriously sunny evening!
It was my aunt's birthday a few days ago and she too is a cardmaker so I figured something crafty would be a great present for her and maybe get pride of place in her craft room!
For both the card and the present i've used the new Tea Dance collection from Craftwork Cards. The kit includes papers, sentiments, bunting, flowers and banners/borders and free mannequins! I love it and i'm sure you'll be seeing more from me using this kit!
For the card, i've covered the base in the polka dot paper and fussy cut a doily from another sheet and adhered using 3D foam. The doily has this gorgeous flower image in there which I've added some star dust Stickles and White Opal Liquid Pearls. A sentiment and some of my fabby poundland bling finish the card!
For her gift, I have decorated some pillar candles using the kit. I wrapped some paper around the candle and added ribbon and beading to them with the hot glue gun. I then cut some flowers using my Tim Holtz tattered floral die and layered them with some of the die cut flowers from the kit for both candles. The large flower being the main embellishment for the first candle and a decorated mannquin with flowers on the second one.
The wraps will come off if need be and can be put on another candle, but i'm assured these will go in my aunt's craft room to be admired!
Hope you like them too! thanks for popping in,

BellaDonna by Simply Betty Stamps
A little aside before I show you today's card - I was featured on the Craftwork Cards blog yesterday! Tina Boyden from their Design Team features makes by CWC fans every Thursday and I was lucky enough to have a few projects on there this week. You may have seen them on my blog already but please pop over and leave some love on the CWC blog! Thanks! Mo xxx
Here is my first card using a Simply Betty digi Stamp! The young girl in this design is called Belladonna and my daughter thinks she looks like a pop star! I tend to think she's a bit emo with a good measure of teenage angst thrown in too!
I've used free papers from Pixel Scrapper - check out the link down the side of my blog for some fabulous free papers, digi kits, photoshop bits and peices too! These are from the Purple basics kit which I got as my free download for signing up to the site!!
Base card is purple A4 cut down to approx 6x6" square and basic black card for matting and layering. I've used my favourite purple star card candi from Craftwork Cards and my EK Success Starry Night corner punch. With my digi stamp, I have coloured her with Watercolour pencils and used a water brush to even out the colour. I've added stickles in purple, midnight blue and fruit punch for effect.
The sentiment here links the card up to this month's challenge over at The House of Bears! They are having a literary based challenge using quotes from Little Women. I chose the quote 'Dont try to make me grow up before my time...' I felt it fit quite well with this rebel girl digi! I'd also like to enter the card into the My Craft Creation challenge which is Spots and Stripes.
The last bit i'd like to show you on the card is the bling!!! This was a bargain find yesterday. I was in Glasgow looking for shoes and ended up in Poundland on Sauchiehall Street to get some things to keep my toddlers occupied and I found strips of 'Body Gems'!!! For £1 i got a strip which contained 10 of the same swirls and I've used one here. Of course, buying only one wasn't an option - i've bought two in black and two in clear crystal so as you can imagine these will be all over the next pile of cards I make!!
There is the option of cutting the strips into individual peices or indeed keeping as a full strip perhaps down the edge of a scrapbook page or larger card.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges.
The House of Bears - Little Women quotes for inspiration
My Craft Creation - Spots and/or stripes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Always Anything Goes
I hope you've enjoyed today's offering.
I am happy to report that I will be attending a craft fair tomorrow in Edinburgh and I hope to find lots of new bits to share with you next week!
Thanks for visiting! Would love it if you left me a comment!
thanks

Tsunami Rose Designs Challenge #20 Tags, Tags, Tags!
It's Wednesday again!!! Here's my DT post for Tsunami Rose Designs.
This week's challenge is themed 'Tags, Tags, Tags!' and we are using Sampler sheets of Tsunami Rose Printable Ephemera which you can get for only $2 or as a free gift with your purchases this month from the TRD zibbet shop - all the links you need are at the bottom of this post - come and have a look at her beautiful papers, journal kits, sentiments and ephemera -stunning designs!!
Well, here is my project - I've gone with a card again... I think i've only ever done one tag on its own as a stand alone tag - this is something i might work on the next few months, making tag art.... I do have a Pinterest board with lots of tags and I know there's loads of inspiration out there. Anyway, i made a tag and popped it onto the front of a birthday card - and I even put another tag on the inside too!
I have used images from Tsunami Rose Designs along with a sentiment too - these can all be found on the ephemera samplers found in the shop on the links below. I have used some vintage seam binding on the tag and a white doily in behind it for another layer. Some lace and beading along the bottom of the tag for texture.
The background paper and paper flowers on the card are from Ephemera's Vintage Garden - these are printable papers found on the blog and they have a shop for even more beautiful printables.
The tag on the inside is using a sentiment from the same sampler pack and paper from the Tsunami Rose Damask Madame 6x6 paper pack and more sema binding.
Sorry for the quick post from me, some of the kids are still icky! Normal service should resume soon! I hope!

Bohemian Floral Altered Box
I have boxes, some are plain, boring brown ones, others are fancy Gorjuss tins, some are re-purposed ice cream tubs - this box was a Christmas gift box, it was black with red and gold images on both the sides and the lid. I use it to store ribbon rolls and it hides in the cupboard when not in use. I decided to pretty it up!!!
I took the lid, gesso'd around the edges and while it dried dug out my Craftwork Cards Bohemian Goody Bag (this is from last year but I loved it so much I bought extra plain and glittered papers in their January Sale!) I used Mod Podge to adhere a sheet of paper to the lid - it has a bird in a cage design with keys and musical notes in the background.
My hot glue gun was put into action to attach the lace around the edges of the lid - I chose a wide lace so it would cover the edges and hang down around the box - and then again to attach the pearl beading around the lid.
If you've seen my blog before, you may be aware that I love my paper flowers! I have been known to sit and make them - 'just cos' and some of the aforementioned tins are in fact full of blooms ready for the next project! These lilac boho blooms, however, did not come out of a tin!!! I sat watching some tv and created the mini blooms from glittered die cuts from the goodybag. The card candi attached is lilac with white spots and the tiny rolled centres have liquid pearls in too.
The rolled paper roses at the bottom left corner were die cut using Marianne Creatables Chinese Rose - the leaves are also from this set. Again they were cut from glittered boho papers. The top right corner has the same candi, crushed, with lavender Stickles in the centres. Crackle Accents was used on the key image at the top right near the candi for extra effect and some Lace stickles on the image of the bird printed in the cage.
The die cut birdcage comes from a new Craftwork Cards goody box and i've coloured it with a lilac promarker to match the papers, adding lace and lavender stickles to highlight it. The two glittery birds were cut from the glittered boho paper using a template also from Craftwork Cards. Some narrower decorative lace fills the gaps on each side.
The four sides of the box have been covered with more of the glittered paper stock - I was considering adding some dimension to the sides but this is still very much a used, practical item, it's full of ribbon as I type, so I think I will leave it as is.
I have ordered some lace to add to the corners where the paper meets on the sides - but mr postman hasn't brought it yet! I will try and post an updated piccie as and when it gets done! It may take some time... I have several projects on the go right now - cant wait to show you all! Stay tuned!

Well, sticking with the theme of Mothers, this week's challenge over at Tsunami Rose Designs is called 'Motherly Love' and the design team have put together some examples for you using Printable Ephemera from Tsunami Rose - beautiful tags, mason jars, images, sentiments all put together to provide the perfect elements for your projects. You can find all the links you need below.
Here is my project for this challenge. I think I may be in my purple phase...
I have used a post card and sentiment from the ephemera sampler and some purple card stock, purple lace and purple card candi accents! I've also used mini glittered blooms from Craftwork Cards Bohemian Goody Bag with olive candi in the centres. The 'Happy Mother's Day' is also from the printed ephemera.
The background is using a spellbinders embossability in Paisley pattern with distress inks Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord to colour it. I've edges the elements with purple stickles.
I love to stay and chat but children running riot and I think there must be a bug about!!!
Come and join us for the Motherly Love challenge! You dont need to use TRD elements but we love to see what you can do with them!

Black, White and Purple Sparkly Mother's Day Card!
Well, I have been so inspired by the printable ephemera and beautiful papers from Tsunami Rose Designs, that I have made another Mother's Day Card to submit as my entry for the current Wednesday Challenge over at the Tsunami Rose Blog. This week is Challenge #18 - Mother's Day and you will see the DT projects that I've already made for the challenge there as well as here on my blog too.
Today's card is sticking with a theme! I loved the black and purple card that I created as part of the DT and have vowed to make more with these colours - given that they are my favourites and very under used!
The card also uses stash from one of my other favourite craft suppliers - Craftwork Cards. I have used black and white chevron print paper from their new Black Magic GoodyBox and Card Candi in colourway 'Saville Row'.
I used the chevron paper with the Marianne Creatables Chinese Rose die to make the paper roses in the bottom left corner and added Star Dust stickles on the flower and tag and lavender stickles around the sentiment. The purple patterned ribbon was in the bottom of my ribbon box!
I've been having a look at all the new blog challenges out there for the start of May and would like to enter my card into a few of them as well as the Tsunami Rose Wednesday Challenge.

Tsunami Rose Challenge 18 - Mother's Day Challenge
Well, I am reliably informed that it is Mother's Day in the USA on May 8th and as I'm part of the Design Team for Tsunami Rose Designs, based in Las Vegas, this week's DT project is for Mother's Day!
This month we are working with printable ephemera from Tsunami Rose which you can buy as a file and print as required, these are available here.
When Daisy sent me the file for this week's challenge... I was totally inspired and went a bit crazy and made TWO projects for this week!
My first card was a vintage inspired card using the central image and wording from Tsunami Rose. I used some background papers from the Shabby Vintage Goodybag over at Craftwork Cards and some ribbon and 3mm string beads.
The large flower here is made using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die from Sizzix Alterations, and the spiral cut roses are using the Chinese Rose by Marianne Creatables. The paper used for both was from a 6x6" paper pad called Floral Fantasy by Louise Tiler - a recent free gift from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine.
I used Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pads also from Tim Holtz to distress/colour the flowers and the central image where i've also added someRanger Glossy Accents to the lady and the flowers. Opal White Liquid Pearls finish the edges of the card.
This next card is a far more modern take and very much my style - purple is my colour and i love this card!
I have used a chipboard dress form from Craftwork Cards along with purple card Candi. The B&W damask paper is from Victoria Park 6x6 paper pack by LilyBee Design.
The tag and wording are both printable ephemera from Tsunami Rose and i've added black organza ribbon and purple mulberry flowers to finish the card.... along with star dust stickles and Dusty Concord distress ink!
I hope you enjoy these designs, why not join us at the Tsunami Rose Blog for this week's challenge - there's no need to use TRD products but we love to see what you do with them!
All the links you need are below, see you soon!
