SLS Lines September Inspiration Post

This is my first Inspiration post for SLS Lines and today I am showing a cute little Goth Girl with Heart Ballooons. I have coloured her with Promarkers and for this post I decided to make an ATC instead of a card. This is a 2.5"x3.5" miniature artwork. I have used Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells paper for the background and heat embossed the edges with black embossing powder for a different edge. The sentiment is an embellishment from my Halloween stash!
I hope you like my project, it's featured on the SLS Lines Blog today too.
Thanks for joining us!

Oddball Art September Facebook Challenge

Well, I'm having a great weekend - fabulous craft fair yesterday and as well as a few bargains I had the pleasure of meeting some fellow bloggers, a great day all round! Today I've been putting some images that I coloured recently onto cards and getting ready for the 31Days of Halloween Blog Hop which starts on October 1st!
This post is just a quick card I put together for the Oddball Art Stamps Facebook Group's September challenge. I have used image 104 from their Etsy Shop and coloured her in Promarkers and pencils. I've edged the image with Peacock Feathers DI and mounted on black card. The orange DP is Graphic 45 An Eerie Tale and the moon paper is Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells. The bats, spider and web were cut on the cameo and the raven is a Tim Holtz Bigz die.

Craftwork Cards Country Charm Papers

Tonight I have been having a play about with some papers from Craftwork Cards recent 4 Day Deal on Create & Craft TV. The deal was 4 mini paper pads and a few other bits and I've used the Country Charm pad this evening.
The first card I've made uses an image from Rick St Dennis - Strange Doll - available at his Zibbet shop. I have coloured the image using Promarkers and coloured pencils and edged the papers in Warm Honey DI. The faux stitching was added using the fine nib on a black promarker. The small heart die cuts are from the Die Cut pad included in the deal.
I will enter my RSD card into the following challenges -
Sparkle and Glitter with Rick - Progressive Challenge September
A Creative Need - September Texture/Pattern

My second card this evening uses an image and sentiment from Create with TLC. This is for a current progressive challenge they have going on at their blog. I have coloured the vintage house using promarkers and pencils and again used the Country Charm papers. I've edged them here with a pearlescent pink small Brilliance ink pad and finished with some layered die cut flowers also from a previous Craftwork Cards wreath kit.

Zombies Ahead at The East Wind!

Today is a big day at The East Wind! We have a new Facebook contest starting later today and the theme is 'Zombies'... so of course, we have to give you some Zombie images to work with! Come and check out the new release - there's a few today!

Up first is Glamzombie! She's a lady with issues! I've coloured her with a combination of Promarkers and WHSmith Blendable Pencils. I've coloured the background with Mowed Lawn, Dusty Concord and Black Soot Distress Inks and mounted on black pearlescent paper. The DP is from Martha Stewart.
The stickers are from my stash and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.
I have used the current sketch at Your Next Stamp Challenge Blog and will enter my card in challenge #16 there.

This zombie pirate type guy seems to be a little worse for wear! He's also coloured with Promarkers and pencils. The DP is from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium paper pack. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.
The layout is a sketch from Stampin' Royalty and I will be entering my card in their challenge #246.
This image is called Broken Doll, I just love this! Again, promarkers and pencils for added detail are my colouring medium. I have edged the image with Black Soot DI. The check paper is from Nikki Sivils 'Boo-tiful' paper pack, the other purple paper was in my stash. The black is a 160gsm card and I've used that to make the rolled rose too - that is from a Silhouette Store cut file. The card is finished with Metallic Purple Candi... which look black in the photo!
I have used a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 for this card and will enter at their current challenge.

This final new image for today is called 'Broken Bisque'. I have used Promarkers and Pencils to colour her and then coated her in Ranger Distress Crackle Paint in 'Clear Rock Candy' - this gives the cracked effect when dry. I then rubbed Black Soot DI across the image once the paint was dry. I have used the fabulous new Bon Bon papers from Craftwork Cards and a matching sentiment to finish.
This card uses Sketch #154 at Freshly Made Sketches and I will enter my card in their challenge.

The East Wind Challenge #15 Feel The Fall

Hi crafty folks and those passing by for a looky! It's time for a new challenge at The East Wind. This is #15 and the title is 'Feel the Fall'. Now most of the team have gone Autumn-y for this challenge, but for me, the Autumn and crispy leaves and darker nights mean it's nearly Halloween! So I've used the recent release 'Baby Aurora Witch and a Kitty' for my card.
I have coloured her with Promarkers and edged the image with Dusty Concord Distress Inks. The heart viewfinder is a Sarah Hurley cut file from the Silhouette Store cut on my cameo and backed with purple pearlescent paper. The DP is from a collection of Halloween-y bits I bought from a recent crafty clearance.... I want to say they are Graphic 45 but i'm not 100% sure!
The blingy embellishments are from my stash - not sure who makes them, I bought a load of embellies in bulk and most didn't have packaging to keep the postage costs down.
I will enter this in the following challenges -
Great Impressions - September Get your Spook on
The Corrosive Challenge - #208 Autumn/Fall
My Time to Craft - #258 Halloween
Vandicrafts - #8 All Hallows Eve
Art by MiRan - #14 Anything Goes

Take A Step in the Dark!

It's Wednesday, it's September, it's nearly Halloween!!! It's time for another challenge at A Step in the Dark. This fortnight, our sponsor is Delicious Doodles - or Delicious Darkness if you prefer! I have used the 'Angel of Death' image to create a 'Chunky Page'. This is a 4x4 inch work of creativity - I punch to top left corner and have them on a binder ring like a little book.

I have used Promarkers to colour parts of the image and Glossy Accents on the black eye. The image is mounted on purple and black pearlescent papers. The web dye is Cheery Lyn and the gravestones are from Tim Holtz on the edge die. I've finished by edging the whole thing with Black Stickles.

Open-Minded Crafting Challenge #18 - Job Related

Good morning! It's time for my midway project for the current challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges. This fornight our theme is 'Job Related' and I think my card is a bit late! I created this around the end of the school year in time for thanking our teachers for their hard work - the challenge does coincide with Labor Day in the US so it still works! I have used the image 'Stack of Books' by Sentimental Susan and coloured this with Promarkers. My papers are from Fancy Pants and the sentiment is from a magazine freebie stamp set.

Handmade by Mo on the Telly!!!

I am thrilled to bits! Sitting here grinning like a Cheshire Cat! Feeling a million dollars! hahaha
The amazing Lelli-bot team had their first show on Create and Craft this morning and showed three of my cards on their sample table/inspiration montage! I am delighted. But also a little sad. This only came about because my amazing friend Lisa Tyrell has been sick and in and out of hospital. I send her all my best wishes and many, many, MANY thanks for recommending me to take her place while she gets better!

Here are some shots of the screen! The green card with satin bow, the blue card with star flourish and the teal and purple card with the flowers on are all mine!

Congratulations to all the Design Team at Lelli-bot Crafts! The show looked amazing!

Thanks for joining me today!
