Anyone who follows my blog will know that I currently run the Left of Center Creative Challenges blog where we love our alternative crafting although we also welcome mainstream projects. Well, recently a brand new, dark side, alternative crafting challenge began - A Step in the Dark and the work there has been amazing, some stunning projects from the team, including Lisa Tyrell from LOC! Unfortunately time got away from me and I completely missed out on joining in the first challenge, so today sees my second entry for their second challenge!
I have used a fabulous image from The East Wind, Lucy Loo 'Braided Side' - who happen to be sponsoring A Step in the Dark this fortnight. I have coloured her with promarkers and die cut her with a Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle. Distress inks in Dusty Concord and Black Soot are used on the edges of all the papers. The papers are from Kaisercraft's 13th Hour paper pad. I have added the name 'Emma' using the Clarity Stamps Letterbox kit with black Archival ink and Dusty Concord Distress ink to colour.
Rather than making a card, this is actually a 6x6 chipboard wall hanging. I've added black organza ribbon for hanging it. The spider web corners are Cheery Lynn dies and to finish I coated the whole thing in Sparkle Mod Podge.
I will enter this in the following challenges:
A Step in the Dark - Challenge #2 Use Purple/AG
My Craft Creations - Anything Goes
The Crafty Bloggers Network - June Challenge Bingo (Column A)
Digi Makeover Challenge - #143 Anything Goes
All Crafts Challenge - June/July Anything But A Card
Thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteOhh how fun, MO! Knew you'd be all over this purple challenge. LOL Fabulous hanging and I love that sparkle! xxD
ReplyDeleteNice card. Love the sparkle.
ReplyDeleteLove the sparkly shimmery coating you gave this - I can't believe how glittery the Mod Podge is (I thought that you had used one of the Crafter's Companion glitter sprays). The die cut corners are great - I have those too! So glad that you found time to enter twice this time - look forward to seeing three projects from you in the next challenge ;)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the late commenting due o a family bereavement.
