Left of Center Anniversary Challenge with The East Wind

Well, after my announcement yesterday that I have been asked to join the design team for The East Wind, I thought I would post another one today!
This card is using another of 'Lucy Loo' images that I just love from The East Wind - you can check out their Etsy shop to get your very own Lucy!
I have coloured the image using Promarkers and added Peacock Feathers Distress ink to the edge of the image to match the turquoise dress.
The papers are the Steampunk Spells papers from Graphic 45 - the colours just go so well! The Sentiments are chalkboard sentiments by Craftwork Cards coloured using the same Peacock Feathers DI.
My card will also be showcased on the Left of Center Creative Challenges blog today! There are just 3 days left to get your 'Anything Goes' entries in! I hope you can join in!
Thanks for looking!

Left of Center First Anniversary Celebrations!

Left of Center Creative Challenge is currently celebrating it's first anniversary with a fabulous extravaganza Anything Goes Challenge event! Every day till the end of the month there is amazing inspiration on the blog from the LOC Crew and some of its favourite Guest Designers! I have a project on there today, I'm ashamed to say it's my first of the month, but it's not my last!
I have used a Halloween Cupcake image from Limited Runs Stamps and coloured it with my Promarkers in suitable halloweeny colours!
I have used my Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor papers to make this card and layered everything up with black pearlescent paper. The stickers are Stampendous.

Colours of the Sea Recipe Challenge at Crafting by Designs

I was sure this would be a tricky one this week! It's a themed recipe challenge over at Crafting by Designs and we are being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine. The theme is 'Colours of the Sea' and you have to follow the recipe.
Pick at least 3 elements from the list of 10 elements when following the theme:
1 - Mermaids
2 - Sand
3 - Coral
4 - Aqua/Water
5 - Orchid
6 - Foam/Lace
7 - Bubbles
8 - Scales/Sequins
9 - Sea Creatures
10 -Wild Card:  show your photo inspiration (Google or Pinterest)
Indicate which elements you used; interpretation is up to you!
So I used the Ebony Seakissed Mermaid and went a bit arty with my card! I have used Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Salty Ocean to create and ombre background and edged it in Peacock Feathers and Black Soot. I used a blending tool to apply Peacock Feathers through a circle stencil. The reeds are the Visible Image Tall Grass stamp. The seahorses and starfish are from Chocolate Baroque, stamped in Black Archival ink from Ranger and embossed with Stampendous Transparent detail embossing powder.

I then used a few small bottle tops in the black ink to add bubbles and used my white Uniball Signo pen to add highlights to them. The image is coloured using Promarkers and mounted on black pearlescent paper so it stands out from the background.
I had a lot of fun making the background for this card! Hoping to do more like this!
thanks for looking and I hope you will join our recipe challenge!

Bingo at Love to Create

This week at Love To Create we are playing Bingo! Eyes down for a full house! Pick a line from the board and create your card accordingly. We are sponsored by StampArt by Kathryne and you could win some images.
I have used the Image 'Jem' and the first vertical line on the board - Pink, Die Cut, Ribbon. My image is coloured with Promarkers. The frame is Fleur De Lis Frame from Spellbinders, and I've mounted this on a scalloped 6x6 card blank. The pink paper and ribbon are from my stash and sentiments from Craftwork Cards.
This week I have also finally got the hang of watermarking my work so this will be on my photos from now on - light enough that it doesn't detract from the image but it will be placed over my colouring to avoid unscrupulous persons! I hope you'll understand!

Favourite Books at Left of Center

It's midway reminder time at Left of Center! Our current challenge is 'Favourite Books' and is sponsored by Delicious Doodles! I have used 'The Raven' to create this wall hanging and I have used items from the 'Tic-Tac-Poe' board over at Quoth The Raven, Nevermore, so I will be entering this in their current challenge.
I printed the image and inked up a large acrylic block with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, spritzed the ink with water and pressed this directly on top of the image to give a mottled coloured background - the edges are inked with black soot. The 6x6 chipboard was painted with Tim Holtz Bronze Distress Paint, stamped round the edges with black archival ink and a TH stamp and then a bouquet of flowers added. The whole thing was then sprayed with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls mixed with water to give a pearly sheen (not that you would notice in this light!)

There are pins in the bouquet (Metal?!), paint and ribbon to hang the project - top line of the board. Or, it is 3D and has flowers along with the ribbon is a diagonal!
As well as joining in at QTR, I will be entering this at the current Delicious Doodles Challenge - Black plus one other colour - brown(s)!

Use a Ribbon at Crafting By Designs

Morning folks! I'm hosting this week's challenge at Crafting By Designs! The theme is 'Use a Ribbon' and we have been sponsored by Meljen's Designs.

You can also catch my card over at Left of Center - Join us for our 1st Anniversary Celebrations with a Mega Anything Goes Anniversary Challenge with 11 sponsors giving away fabulous images - including a chance to win more images from Meljen's Designs!

I have used the very cute 'Little Goth Girl' image, coloured her with promarkers, splattered the background and mounted her on black pearlescent paper. The foiled purple paper is Kaisercraft and the 8x8 paper is from the new Gorjuss range by DoCrafts. I've added a black organza ribbon and a chalk board sentiment from Craftwork Cards. The corner webs are Cheery Lyn dies and the 'Starburst' die cuts are new from Joanna Sheen - I picked this die up from Pink Frog Crafts at the SECC a few weeks back and it's my favourite die of the moment!

Hope you can join us this week!
