Morning everyone! This is an exciting wee post from me today! I have the pleasure of announcing that I am now on the team over at Left Of Centre Challenges and I have the privilege of working with some fabulous ladies who I already know from PunkyouGirl and have loved meeting new friends on the team.
My first design team piece for LOC is for Challenge #16 which is to include some kind of water element. I have used the Delicious Doodles image 'Unchained Melody' which depicts a mermaid with a giant fish, and I have coloured her with promarkers. I have mounted her onto some 'bubble' card! This is from the very bottom of my stash, something I have had in a box for over ten years since I first started making cards.... always knew it would come in handy!
I used some 'Stormy Sea' distress ink to edge the card and the image and added a 'Sea Peacock' and 'black' seam binding ribbon bow and a spray of flowers to finish. Platinum stickles finish the chains adorning the mermaid.
Why not join us this fortnight at Left of Centre, either following the 'Water elements' theme or with a 'Left of Centre' darker project. The choice is yours and we'd love to see what you can do.
Thanks for looking!

Dilly Beans Halloween - Take Two!!!
Well, I am pretty much kicking myself in the shins as I write this post! After my inspired orange and black Dilly Beans card from the other day was entered into a bunch of challenges... the fabulous Jenn from Dilly Beans DT left me a comment to say how great the card was but that I wasn't eligible to win as I had entered too many challenges for their rules! Argh!!! The whole point in making the card was to enter the Dilly Beans challenge! Oooops! Oh well, a good excuse to make another one today!
So I've kept the Halloween theme but changed the colour scheme to Purple and Teal and used some papers from Echo Park and Little Yellow Bicycle again. I've added more flowers, pins and seam binding ribbon in my 'signature' bouquet embellishment. There's also some black vinyl spiders from Stampendous on there for added details. The image is #415 Pinky's Skull Bow and I've coloured her with promarkers.
I will be entering this card into the current Dilly Beans 'Ribbons' challenge and the current Haunted Design House challenge as I think Pinky would be a great Halloween costume! I'll also enter her over at My Craft Creations Anything Goes challenge for this fortnight.
Thanks for looking!

Anything Goes at Crafting by Designs - A New Challenge
Hi everyone, time for a new 'Anything Goes' challenge over at Crafting By Designs and this week we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps. I have had the joy of working with the image Victorian Goth Girl and have gone with a purple and black steampunk inspired card.
The image as always is coloured using my Promarkers and I've layered it up with purple pearlescent paper. I have used a Tri-boss Cogs embossing folder for the light brown paper behind it and an Embossabilities brick embossing folder for the background - both have Dusty Concord distress ink rubbed onto highlight the embossing. The die-cut cogs are using a set of X-Cut dies through my Cuttlebug with the same black and purple pearlescent papers. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards.
I will enter this card into the following challenge -
My Craft Creations - Anything Goes
LEJ Designs - Lots of Layers
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
The Paper Make Up Stamps Blog - #107 Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrappin Corner - Happy Birthday

Dilly Beans Halloween!
Its been a few weeks since I have made a card purely for the sake of fun! So today I was sitting looking at a Dilly Beans image that I had coloured weeks ago that was pinned up in front of me and decided to put it to good use and enter this week's Dilly Beans Challenge! The theme this week is 'Ribbons' and I have used a few on here. I added a Halloween hair bow from PoundWorld to the girl's hair in place of her 'skull' bow. I also added some seam binding and orange polkadot ribbon to the left of the card along with some flowers and pins - kinda my signature at the moment!
I have coloured the image with Promarkers and used designer papers from Echo Park and Little Yellow Bicycle for the background. The punched edge is from an X-Cut edge punch.
As well as entering into the Dilly Beans challenge I will also be entering the following -
My Craft Creations - Anything Goes
Craft-Dee Bowz - Anything Goes with a Handmade bow
Created with Love Challenges - Fall Colours
House of Gilli - Anything Goes/Fall
Lexi's Creations - Autumn Colours
The PaperNest Dolls Challenge - Happy Fall Y'all
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Ribbons and Bows
Love to Create Challenge - #84 Colour Inspired
The Kraft Journal - Make it Monday Challenge 139

Feeling Blue... and green!
and a bit of purple!
Oh my mojo seemed to have left me... I've done very little crafting the last few weeks, other than that which was expected of me and I feel like some of that was not good! But I think I might be back. I came across the Musically Challenged Challenge Blog a few days ago and the current challenge is a music video from a band/femal artist I've never heard of called Kerli, the song is called 'Creepshow'. The sponsor for the challenge is Dilly Beans, one of my favourite digi stamp companies so I decided to use the colours from the video and grabbed a Dilly Beans digi and got colouring with my trusty Promarkers.
I've used my favourite papers from Echo Park - must find more of this i'm running out! - the Oct 31 paper pad and combined them with some seam binding ribbon and mulberry paper flowers in the teal and purple colours to co-ordinate. There is also some Midnight Black and Lagoon stickles for a bit of glitter and glossy accents on the eyes. I have left room for a sentiment and will add that when I decide on a recipient.
As well as entering the Musically Challenged challenge, I will also enter this into the current Haunted Design House challenge - this fortnight is all about dressing up for halloween and I think weirdo/zombie girl makes a great costume idea!
I will also enter the card into the following challenges -
Eclectic Ellapu - Inspired by a Song
My Craft Creations - Stamped Image Challenge
I Love Promarkers - #186 Anything Goes
The Three Muses - Music
Card Mania - Favourite Colour Combo
Thanks for looking!

The Crafters Cafe Challenge #29 - Flowers
Its Team B's turn today over at the Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog and the theme for this week is Flowers. Our sponsor for this one is Fred She Said digi stamps and I had the pleasure of working with the Sentimental Flower Doodledallion this week.
I have coloured the images with promarkers and added some glitter to some of the edges, cut each layer out and used 3d foam to layer them all up with a Craftwork Cards sentiment in the centre and for the leaves. I mounted the image onto a CWC embossed shaped frame, added some distress ink around the edges, platinum stickles and platinum liquid pearls to finish. All mounted on a 6x6 kraft card base.
Well, the theme is flowers, why not have a go and show us your flowery creations!

Punk You Girl Midway Reminder for Red and Black Challenge
We are bang in the middle of a fabulous challenge over at the PunkyouGirl Challenge Blog. The theme for September is Red and Black. Why not pop over and join the design team today for some more inspiration and get your entry in.
Here is my midway inspiration for you! I have used an image by Ike called Vaguely Goth. This was a Friday Freebie from the fabulous artist and if you pop over to her blog and become a follower you could find yourself with more fabulous art.
I have used free papers from Pixel Scrapper and matted them onto pearlescent black paper. The paper in the centre was actually a grey and white paper but I tinted it using Fired Brick distress ink and a blending tool to make it red.
I finished the card with some black organza, a seam binding bow and some black roses. The sentiments are from Craftwork Cards with more Fired Brick.
Thanks for looking and why not come and join in the fun at PunkyouGirl!

Time for a challenge!!
I really hope it's nice and sunny wherever you are reading this right now! As I type (Tuesday afternoon) the sun is shining, I've just gotten in from a four mile walk with the baby and I will shortly hang a washing out to dry in the breeze, a lovely late summer, early autumn day. Now, if you are reading this you will be wondering what the challenge is... Well, I have a new one for you today! I have been asked to join the Crafting By Designs Challenge Blog Design Team! A big Thank You to Doris for accepting me onto the team I hope I can do you proud!
Crafting by Designs is a weekly challenge blog and the new one starts today - Anything Goes. This week we are sponsored by Kenny K and I have the privelege of working with his Happy Hour digi stamp. I have teamed it up with some Craftwork Cards paper, sentiments, flowers and butterflies as well as one of their new 'quilted' Polaroid frames. I coloured the frame using Dusty Concord Distress Ink and added platinum Liquid Pearls as an accent. The image has been coloured with promarkers - not my best colouring but I do love the bold black and purple dress - I want one!
I will enter this card into the following challenges -
Card Mania - Favourite Colour Combination (Black, White & Purple)
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss - Anything Goes

Happy Birthday to Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog!
Just a quick post from me tonight with a Happy Birthday ATC for the Wicked Wednesday team who have just posted their 100th challenge!!! Congratulations guys! The 100th challenge has asked us to create a celebratory ATC for them and so here is my creation.
I have used a digi image from Smeared Ink (this was the 2013 Skull Appreciation Day freebie!) and it has been coloured with greys and plum promarkers. I have covered my atc base with black pearlescent paper and tied some black seam binding ribbon around it. The sentiment was a free stamp from a magazine and the Candi and 100 are from Craftwork Cards, I coloured the candi to match the image. Some Star Dust stickles finishes the project. ( edit - I have just had a closer look and the candi is quite reflective! It is the same colour as the plum flowers and has been stamped with 1 0 0 which you can just make out!)
Coincidently, the challenge this fornight at Smudgy Antics is to make an ATC which must include a stamped image so I will be entering my ATC in their challenge too.
Thanks for looking!

Polkadoodles Fairy Time Challenge
Oh my how the weather has changed! Sunglasses and cropped jeans on Wednesday and today it is cold and wet and miserable and probably set to stay that way till next April!
Anyway, here's a Christmas card for you today. I am using a Polkadoodles Angelberry Digistamp which was available as a freebie at the start of their Fairy Time Challenge. So glad I got my new printer set up today as there's not long left to enter this one!
I have used papers, bunting, flowers and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards and coloured the image using Christmassy promarker colours. The image was quite large when I have printed it out so this is actually an 8x8 card. I finished it with some platinum liquid pearls around the bunting and some matching stickles on the baubles at the front of the image.
As well as entering into the Polkadoodles Challenge I will also be entering this into the following -
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - #32 Layers (4 layers plus layered embellishments)
Sister Act Card Challenge - #23 Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Southern Girls Challenge - Make Believe (Fairy!)
Addicted to Stamps and More - Anything Goes
Flutter By Wednesday - #251 must have butterfly or fairy
Christmas Cards All Year Round - September Christmas Fairies with a little sparkle
Digi Galore Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - September Challenge

Time for a new challenge over at the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog and this week the theme is 'Dude, that's Funny!' The sponsor for this week is Dr Digi's House of Stamps and I have been working with 'Duncan Disorderly' - here's my sample.
I have used the DCWV Rockstar Mat Stack for layering and some black pearlescent paper behind the sentiments that I printed out from the pc. I also added some black self adhesive pearls to finish the card.
The image was coloured with promarkers in warm greys to suit this old rocker!

Mercedes is Witchin!
Happy Monday everyone! Start of another week and a new month too, cant believe how close we're getting to the Christmas again! But before then... there's Halloween! Simply Betty Stamps have a new Facebook fan page challenge calling for Halloween colours and the use of the freebie, Mercedes the Witch (Check out the Simply Betty Facebook page for more info).
I have used a 5x7 card base and the 'Oct 31' paper pad from Echo Park. I also cut some spiral roses using my Marianne Designs chinese rose die and added some seam binding in black and purple to compliment the colours.
Now, as well as entering this card into the Simply Betty challenge, I'm also entering this into the current Left of Centre Challenge #13. The challenge theme there is Girlie or LOC and I think as much as this card is flowery its also a bit LOC so I am working on a girlie card to enter too!
I'm also hoping that the Design Team over at Left of Centre will consider me to be part of their design team. They have new 'management' and are looking for another member for their incredibly talented team and I would love an oppertunity to join them. At present, I am on four DTs: The Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog which I create for every fortnight; Just For Fun, a monthly challenge blog; Tsunami Rose Designs which uses printable papers, journal kits and ephemera, a few times each month; and, quite aptly, PunkyouGirl where I create a project once per month for their 'Dark Themed' challenges.
With every team having different expectations, I have my time management skills honed, and I'm becoming more and more organised and efficient, and I like to work ahead - not always as easy task as I also have four children and a home to take care of. I take each of my responsibilities seriously but also try to have fun in my creating. I think of myself as mainly a cardmaker, however, through joining these other design teams, I have started taking my crafting out of that box - I love to make wall hangings and I have a box packed full of items awaiting alteration!
Thank you for reading this far, I hope that you have a wee look at my blog while you're here, or leave me a comment if I need to do anything else for you.
And to my regular followers, thanks for looking!
