Add Sparkle at Left of Center!

A fabulous new blingy challenge starts today at Left of Center! The theme this week is to 'Add Sparkle' and you can do this in whatever way you like! Of course, we love your LOC creations too so dont forget you can do that! We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Aurora Wings and I have used the 'Holly Sprite' image and thought I'd make a start on Christmas!!!

I have coloured the image using promarkers and added some Star Dust Stickles to the fur on the image - there is also red and green stickles on the berries and holly. The papers are Teresa Collins with some red and green pearlescent card. The dies used are the Spellbinders Floral Oval and a Create Too oval die. The card is finished with pearlescent white candi - coated with more Star Dust Stickles!

New Lucy Loo at The East Wind

Today we have a fabulous new Lucy Loo being released at The East Wind. She is her usual gorgeous self but with a bit of twist - she's a bit of a nasty nurse! Lucy Loo 'Okay-Who's Next' is available here!

I've coloured my image with Promarkers, fussy cut her then layered her on a black pearlescent oval. I've cut a smaller oval and handwritten the 'sentiment'! The dies are from Crafts Too. The papers are from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor and Pebbles Inc Thirty One paper pads. The card is finished with blood red Candi!

Use Dies Challenge at Crafting By Designs

It is time for a new challenge at Crafting by Designs and this week we want you to 'Use Dies'! We are sponsored this week by Oak Pond Creations and there is a chance to win some images from their store if you enter.

I have created a 6x6 card using the image Lucy Loo 'Bookaholic' from The East Wind. I have coloured her with promarkers and layered up my card with black pearlescent paper and pink Core'dinations card stock.

The dies I have used are the Spellbinders Floral Oval and Cheery Lynn corner dies, the centre strip is punched using an XCut lacy border punch. The card is finished with black and silver Card Candi.

Challenge #123 at Love to Create

Morning lovely folks! Today is the start of another new challenge at Love to Create. This week it's up to you... to a certain extent! Do you prefer Fussy and Fancy or Clean and Layered - those are your options and other than that, it's up to you! I have gone for Clean and Layered and used an image from Art by MiRan who is our sponsor this week.

I have coloured the image with promarkers and cut her to size, mounting her on lilac card. The gingham background paper is from Craftwork Cards as is the sentiment. I've not used any 3D foam to keep the card nice and flat and tried very hard not to add candi or other embellishments to keep it clean!

Fairy Challenge at Left of Center and news!!!

We have some fabulous news for you all over at the Left of Center Challenge Blog! As of the new challenge starting today - we are going weekly!!! Yes, that's right, there will be a brand new challenge every Friday starting from today. This means you only have 7 days to get your 'Fairies' creation ready for today's challenge.

We are sponsored by Delicious Doodles and I have used the 'Steampunk Fairy' image for my card today. I have coloured her with pencils rather than my usual Promarkers just for a change. She is mounted on a Spellbinders Floral Oval with some platinum gilding wax around the embossed edges.

I have used papers from the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells paper pads and lots of black pearlescent paper for layering. The card is finished with some black lace and card candi.

I will enter this in the current challenge at Delicious Doodles - Anything Goes with a DD image!

Some Dark news....

I have joined the design team at A Step in the Dark!!! I have been enjoying playing along with the challenges and this dark themed blog is full of some of my most favourite card designers and artists and I just knew I wanted to do more than play along!

So, here I am posting my first card for the new challenge starting today - Anything Goes/Dark Fantasy. Now I was late to the party so I've used an image from my own files for this card - hop on over to the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have created!!

The sponsor this fortnight is Aurora Wings and we want to see your Dark Fantasy or Dark themed Anything Goes creations! I have used the Anti-Valentine girl and coloured her with Promarkers. I have used a background paper from Pebbles 'Thirty-One' paper pad and some black and red card. The ribbon is from my stash and the swirl is a Memory Box die. I have used my MS Drippy Goo punch along the bottom of the card and hand written the sentiment!

Anything Goes July at Crafting by Designs

The brand new July Anything Goes challenge starts today at Crafting by Designs! As the title suggests - anything goes and we'd love to see what you create this month. There's no limit to the number of times you can enter so show us everything!

I have created a card today using the 'Full Moon' image from one of our sponsors - A Day For Daisies. The image is coloured with promarkers and edged with Mowed Lawn and Black Soot Distress Inks. I have used papers from the Bo Bunny Fright Delight 6x6 pad and metallic purple card candi from Craftwork Cards. The 'Happy Halloween' sticker is from Pebbles. The bats are punches from my stash and the 'Boo' is a Tim Holtz bigz die.
